Mober opens largest EV charging hub in the Philippines
Facility boasts 56-port capacity for logistics firm’s fleet of e-vans and e-trucks

Green logistics firm Mober has opened Central Charge, the largest commercial electric-vehicle charging hub in the Philippines to date.

The state-of-the-art facility located along D. Macapagal Avenue in Pasay City covers 3,000 square metres with a 56-port capacity to serve the company’s fleet of e-vans and e-trucks.

With a three-shift system, the station can charge up to 200 EV trucks daily, ensuring round-the-clock operational support for its logistics fleet.

Unlike typical public EV stations, Central Charge is designed to meet the unique demands of logistics operations. Equipped with 50 7-kilowatt direct-current chargers and two 60-kilowatt-hour fast-charging units, it enables Mober to streamline operations and minimize vehicle downtime.

Central Charge is strategically located near Metro Manila’s key commercial areas to ensure seamless mid- and last-mile delivery for clients such as Ikea, Nestlé Philippines, and Maersk.

"We are proud to launch the biggest commercial EV charging hub in the Philippines in Pasay City. At Mober, we've been committed to finding solutions to infrastructure challenges since our transition to EVs in 2021,” says Mober founder and chief executive officer Dennis Ng.

“Central Charge demonstrates our vision to pave the way for a cleaner, more efficient future for our clients and solidify the Philippines' place at the forefront of sustainable logistics in Southeast Asia."

The expansion comes after Mober inaugurated its first charging hub in Zamora Street, Pasay City, in 2023. Its initial hub spanned 800 square metres and had 30 charging units.

To further its sustainability goals, Mober is exploring the addition of solar photovoltaic panels and a 500kWh battery energy storage system at Central Charge.

The upgrades, along with the hub itself, will be crucial in supporting its plan to expand its fleet to over 500 EVs by 2026, Mober says.
