Bank of Singapore beefs up Global South Asia bench
Ankit Swaika to lead team focusing on NRI, UHNW and HNW clients in the market segment
The Asset   24 Aug 2026

Bank of Singapore has appointed Ankit Swaika as team head for Global South Asia, effective November 2. Based in Singapore, he will report to Zubin Dabu, market group head, the Middle East, Global South Asia and International.

According to the bank, the appointment reflects its continued investment in strengthening its Global South Asia franchise and deepening its capabilities in serving the complex wealth management needs of non-resident Indian ( NRI ), ultra-high-net-worth ( UHNW ) and high-net-worth ( HNW ) clients.

Swaika is a CFA charterholder and private banking and investment advisory veteran with more than 25 years of global experience. His career has spanned client relationship management, investment advisory, structuring solutions, family office advisory and global market research.

He joins from Bank Julius Baer Singapore, where he spent almost a decade as a senior private banker supporting UHNW and HNW clients across Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

Prior to joining Bank Julius Baer, Swaika was a senior investment adviser at ANZ Singapore, serving clients across Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Earlier, he held senior roles including head of investments, advisory, and family office at private wealth institutions in the UK and Asia.

Swaika’s appointment follows another recent senior-level hire, Yatish Aron, who will also be joining Bank of Singapore as team head, Global South Asia, on October 12.

Other strategic hires last year included Bikram Sen as market head, Global South Asia; Priyanka Maheshwari, who joined from HSBC Private Bank; Dinesh Chaudhary, who joined from Julius Baer; and Mitika Patel, who joined from UBS.
