Indian wealth management firm 360 ONE, one of the nation’s largest, has appointed Abhishek Bhalotia as its chief growth and people officer, a role in which he will lead two crucial, group-wide agendas – growth, business development and revenue practice management, and the people agenda.
Bhalotia will shape and drive the company’s business development strategy across the wealth, asset Management and capital businesses, spanning key client segments, including those of high-net-worth ( HNW ) and ultra-HNW individuals and non-resident Indians, as well as institutional mandates and priority geographies globally.
He brings over three decades of experience with the Kotak Group, where he held leadership roles across private banking, institutional sales, asset management, equity and fixed income sales and trading, and proprietary investment management in India and international markets. In his most recent role, he served as national business head for Kotak Bank’s flagship private banking business, where he led the proposition and drove its growth across the country.
Bhalotia will also lead the wealth manager’s people agenda, the company points out, shaping the group’s talent management strategy and acquisition approach to match its long-term growth objectives. He will partner closely with wealth, asset and capital leadership on strategic business builds as these franchises scale.
In addition, he will build and own the learning and development agenda across businesses and functions, with particular focus on senior management development. And, as the company continues to scale and integrate recent acquisitions, he will also serve as the group’s culture custodian, ensuring its values and ways of working stay consistent.
“Abhishek’s three decades of leadership across private banking, institutional sales and asset management make him a strong fit for where the company is headed next,” adds Karan Bhagat, its founder, managing director and CEO. “For us, growth and people are the same discipline, executed at scale. We are confident he will bring that same rigour to how we build revenue predictability and leadership depth across the group.”
