Bank of Singapore, the private banking arm and wholly owned subsidiary of Oversea Chinese Banking Corporation, has named Eng Chien Chan as its market group head for Greater China, effective March 17.

Based in Singapore, Eng Chien Chan will report to Rickie Chan, the bank’s head of private banking, Greater China, and the chief executive of its Hong Kong branch.

Eng Chien Chan, an industry veteran with close to 30 years in the banking industry, brings with him extensive leadership experience, deep regional knowledge and a proven track record of delivering business impact.

Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, he served as market head for Taiwan and co-head for offshore China at HSBC’s private bank in Singapore, where he led strong business growth. He has also held senior leadership roles at Credit Suisse, Nomura and Citi, overseeing teams across global markets, and event-driven and cross-asset structured solutions.

“Eng Chien Chan’s appointment further strengthens our Greater China proposition and deepens our coverage in this strategically important region,” Rickie Chan says. “In 2025, our Greater China business recorded strong momentum and was a key contributor to the bank’s overall growth. Our continued ability to attract talent reaffirms the appeal of Bank of Singapore to private bankers who want to be part of our growth journey.”
